Legal Notice for The Diligence Review
This page sets out who edits The Diligence Review, where the site is hosted and how personal data is handled. It is written in plain language and describes the arrangements as they actually are, rather than a template that says more than it should.
Editor
The Diligence Review is an independent English magazine on corporate investigations and due diligence. It is edited by its editorial team, which is the author of every article on the site. The magazine is not a firm and does not offer investigations, legal advice or compliance services. Its contact address is contact@fia-forensic.com.
Hosting
The site is a set of static pages served through Cloudflare, which also provides the domain name system and the content delivery network. The pages are built in advance and delivered as files; there is no application server, no user account and no login. Cloudflare may keep standard technical logs, such as the address a request came from and the page requested, in the course of operating the service.
Personal data
The site does not set advertising cookies, does not profile readers and does not sell anything. There is no newsletter, no account and no contact form. The only personal data the editors receive is what a reader chooses to send by email. A message is kept in the editorial mailbox for as long as it is useful for answering it, and it is not passed to anyone else except where a reader asks for that or where the law requires it.
External links
Articles link to external sources so that a reader can check an original document or a published standard. Those sites are run by other organisations, and their own terms and privacy practices apply once a reader follows a link. A link is a citation, not an endorsement, and it does not imply any relationship between The Diligence Review and the organisation concerned.
Content and accuracy
Articles are written from public sources, published standards and professional practice, and they name their sources. They describe how a type of work is generally done and are not advice on any specific matter, which depends on facts and on the law that applies to them. Corrections are made when an error is found, and a reader can report one through the contact page.
